CBSE opens Class 12 marks verification and re-evaluation portal after delays

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the online portal for verification of marks and re-evaluation of Class 12 board examination results after multiple delays in the process. Students seeking a review of their results can now submit applications through the official CBSE website.

CBSE announced the launch through its official communication channels and advised students to carefully review the instructional video available on the portal before applying. The board has provided step-by-step guidance to help candidates complete the verification of marks and re-evaluation process correctly.

The portal was originally scheduled to reopen on May 29 for students who had obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books. However, CBSE later postponed the launch to June 1, stating that additional time was required to ensure a transparent and error-free process. Students were allowed to apply for scanned copies of their answer scripts between May 19 and May 25.

Under the revised process, candidates who have received scanned copies of their answer books can raise question-specific objections if they believe marks were incorrectly awarded or omitted. These objections will be examined by subject experts through the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system before any decision is taken regarding changes in marks.

CBSE has fixed the fee for verification of marks at ₹500 per answer book, while re-evaluation requests will cost ₹100 per question. The board stated that the verification and re-evaluation portal will remain available for at least two days after the final scanned copy of an evaluated answer book is made accessible to applicants.
